Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born on April 28, 1967) was an American actor and a singer. Wuhrer started her acting career when she was in her teens. Her most well-known role was as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders and also for playing the character of the character Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. There are three siblings. She started singing at club nights as a teenager. She was known to sneak away from her house to sing. From the Wooster school at the age of 13, she began studying drama. Later, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University, Marymount Manhattan College located at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London with the well-known teacher Uta Hagen, Wuhrer studied. Her birthplace was in Brookfield on April 28 in 1967. Her mother works as an accountant for payroll, while her father, a German-American, is a police officer as well as a auto salesman. Kari has three brothers and sisters. The singer was in nightclubs when she was a teenager sneaking out of the home to perform. In the year she turned 13 old, Kari studied acting at the Wooster School. Later, she began her studies in drama at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York University, Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College as well as The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and renowned instructor Uta Hagen. Kari began acting when she was aged a teenager. Her first television break was in 1987 on MTV's Remote Control.
