Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician and songwriter. Harry Styles has been recognized for his compositions for the One Direction band. His parents were Des Styles and Anne Cox. The couple were born on the 1st day of February 1994, in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, where he created his own group of musicians with three classmates, which was dubbed White Eskimo. They participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their excellent presentations they took home the trophy. Although he has always been fascinated by the arts, he aspired to become an lawyer or physical therapist. While working in the city's pastry shop, Harry Styles was able to support his family. Harry Styles, in 2010 was a contestant on The X Factor. His track Is not She Lovely was performed by Stevie Wonder. His band was forced to disband due to this. Nicole Scherzinger told Harry Styles, Liam Payne Zayn Milik Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson that they'd form an ensemble called One Direction after the X The X. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in 2010. The five-piece band was sponsored by Simon Cowell and were the first to sing Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You along with Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. The group was among the best contenders for the contest. The band was in the third spot after Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle which won. Harry Styles did not receive a prize, however Cowell offered a 2-million-pound deal with One Direction in order for the group to be a part of Syco Records.
