Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. A half English and half Spanish She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. His father was Argentine and Scottish English descent. Her mother's ancestry is Spanish and English. She was the first born of a clan with six kids. Four of her siblings are from the previous marriage to Taylor's dad. After having lived with her parents in Buenos Aires for six years, the family relocated to Victoria. Taylor-Joy said that the move had been difficult and that she was unable to study English as she wanted to be able to return to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the switched from Northlands. Then she attended Queen's Gate School where she studied ballet and acted in school plays. After she turned 16, Taylor-Joy dropped out to concentrate on her acting profession. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to be an actor.
